TrioClick doesn't just store your documents — it builds relationships between every file and your project entities. Asset, discipline, stage, milestone, author — each document is always exactly where it should be, at the revision it should be, visible to who should see it.
Four principles that separate TrioClick from every other document management tool your team has tried.
Every document is linked to its project entities — not stored in a folder. Finding a drawing means selecting Asset → Discipline → Stage. No folder trees. No searching.
You bring the files and a register. TrioClick handles everything else — the machine does the heavy lifting so your team focuses on design.
Try it — reach any document in exactly three clicks.
TrioClick is the orchestrator. When integrated with Aconex, ACC, or SharePoint, TrioClick's record is always authoritative. Its sync engine enforces this — any external change to metadata or version is detected and overridden.
TrioClick handles four categories of formal project documentation. Work-in-progress files are outside scope — TrioClick manages what gets shared, governed, and distributed.
Surveys, as-built drawings, permits, contracts, certificates — any document provided as a project-wide reference. Drag and drop, categorise with a #tag, done.
Formal design and contractual submissions — 50% SD, 100% SD, Stage 2 IFC, and so on. Full workflow with naming validation, revision management, and CDE distribution.
Share any set of documents with team members — by stage, asset, discipline, or specific files. Add additional files to the transmittal and define the distribution list before sending.
Project admins can archive any project at any time. All documents move to archive status with access restricted to account admin, project admin, and up to three designated users.
Step-by-step guides covering every workflow in the Documents module.
TrioClick's submission workflow validates, populates, and distributes your documents automatically. Follow these six steps every time you make a formal submission.
Navigate to Documents → Submissions → Add New. The target milestone must be defined and open for submission before you begin.
Choose the target milestone and your discipline. Only one discipline per submission workflow. TrioClick will only accept files matching your discipline's naming convention.
TrioClick validates every file against the naming convention automatically. Non-compliant files are flagged with the option to discard or rectify before proceeding.
Auto-validatedExisting files get their stored metadata and next revision applied automatically. New files get parameters from the naming convention — you only complete the remaining mandatory fields. Bulk update via Excel template available.
Revisions assigned automaticallyReview the full submission and distribution list before committing. Save to come back and amend, or discard to cancel with all files removed.
Click Submit. TrioClick populates documents to its register and pushes to all integrated CDEs simultaneously — Aconex, ACC, SharePoint — with correct metadata and folder structure.
Aconex · ACC · SharePointYou bring the files and a register. TrioClick handles everything else — validation, metadata, revisions, and distribution happen without manual input.
Drag and drop or batch upload. Files must follow the project naming convention — TrioClick validates this before anything else happens.
Every filename is checked against the predefined convention. Non-compliant files are flagged — rectify or discard before proceeding.
AutomatedParameters read from filename and applied automatically. Existing files get stored metadata. New files need only remaining mandatory fields.
AutomatedNext revision assigned per the predefined scheme — alphabetical or numerical per stage. No manual entry. No override possible.
AutomatedOn submit, TrioClick populates all integrated CDEs — creating or updating records, folders, packages, and attributes consistently across all platforms.
AutomatedAuto-generated and always current. Every document, revision, and status in one place.
Aconex, ACC, and SharePoint all receive clean folder structures and populated metadata.
A package per milestone per discipline created automatically in Aconex and ACC.
Every version stored and retrievable. Nothing deleted — only superseded.
Complete, unalterable record of every upload, sync, override, and distribution event.
Structured metadata lets the AI agent query, summarise, and report across your full document set.
When integrated with other CDEs, TrioClick is always the authoritative source. Its sync engine monitors connected platforms and enforces TrioClick's validated metadata — automatically.
Documents submitted via TrioClick's workflow are machine-validated. That record is treated as authoritative across all connected platforms.
If a user edits metadata or updates a version directly in Aconex, ACC, or SharePoint, the sync engine detects the change and restores TrioClick's record on the next sync cycle.
TrioClick only governs documents submitted through its workflow. Files uploaded directly to a CDE without a TrioClick record are ignored — keeping your register clean.
Every connected platform gets the same folder structure, metadata, and revision history — because they all come from one source.
TrioClick integrates with Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and SharePoint. One direction — from TrioClick outward. No lateral data transfer between CDEs.
TrioClick pushes to all connected CDEs from one source. There is no direct transfer from Aconex to ACC, or ACC to SharePoint. TrioClick is the single point of control.
TrioClick creates and maintains consistent folder structures and metadata across every connected CDE — making auditing and archiving reliable across your portfolio.
Users can still access Aconex, ACC, and SharePoint directly. Project admins should manage permissions on those platforms to minimise manual edits the sync engine will need to override.
Beyond formal submissions, TrioClick manages project reference data and long-term archiving — keeping your project history clean, accessible, and secure.
Go to Documents → Reference Data. This is separate from the submissions register and holds project-wide context documents.
Upload surveys, as-built drawings, permits, contracts, and certificates. Categorise each with a #tag — no naming convention required for reference data.
Reference documents are immediately available to all project members with access. Filter by tag to find what you need in seconds.
Project admins can archive any project at any time from Project Settings → Archive Project. The action is reversible only by account admin.
All documents move to archive status. Access is restricted to account admin, project admin, and up to three designated users — defined at time of archiving.
Access restrictedEvery document, every revision, and the complete audit trail are preserved indefinitely. Nothing is deleted — the archive is a permanent, read-only record.
The setup guide covers everything from initial project configuration and naming conventions to CDE integration, field mapping, user permissions, transmittals, and archive management.
No. TrioClick works as a fully standalone platform. Integration with other CDEs is optional — you connect them if you already have subscriptions and want TrioClick to manage them as the central layer.
Files uploaded outside TrioClick's workflow with no TrioClick record are not managed by the sync engine — they are ignored entirely. Only documents with a TrioClick record are governed and synced.
Yes. If a document has a TrioClick record and its metadata or version is altered externally, the sync engine will detect the change and restore TrioClick's record. TrioClick does not allow revision override — the next revision is always assigned automatically.
Non-compliant files are flagged during validation with a clear warning. You can either go back and rectify the files before proceeding, or choose to discard them and continue with the compliant files only.
All data is stored on Microsoft Azure enterprise infrastructure with regional data residency compliance. TrioClick is ISO 27001 certified — your documents and metadata are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your data remains accessible and exportable. Documents and metadata stored in connected CDEs (Aconex, ACC, SharePoint) remain in those platforms under your own account — TrioClick's termination does not affect those records.
Yes. TrioClick supports project templates including naming conventions, discipline structure, milestone definitions, and CDE field mappings — so new projects are set up consistently and quickly.
Because TrioClick enforces structured, consistent metadata across all documents, the AI agent can query your entire document set in plain language — find drawings, extract specifications, summarise submissions, and draft RFI responses grounded in your live project data.
